👋🏼 I’m Ujwal Kandi, a Data Operations & Observability Engineer based in Austin, TX — I keep production data pipelines and monitoring infrastructure healthy, catching issues before they reach customers and turning incidents into runbooks so they don’t happen twice.

I’m currently a Metadata Operations Engineer at Apple, building observability and RCA workflows for Apple TV’s global content pipeline. Before that, I ran production support and data operations at Dover Fueling Solutions, Sports Excitement, and Epsilon — supporting Fortune 500 clients like Disney, Bank of America, and Marriott — and earned my M.S. in Information Technology & Management from UT Austin’s McCombs School of Business.

I’m currently looking at Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, and Observability Engineer roles, and building out a Grafana/Prometheus monitoring stack on the side — see Projects. When I’m not staring at dashboards, I’m usually taking photos or tinkering with edge/IoT hardware.
